Web-based Content Approval
A web-based content
approval
tool. Structured folders, automated intelligence, and extensive metadata
support to help you coordinate production deadlines and extract more
value from the work you create. Includes secure check-in and check-out
of assets and full version control.
Teambase.approval
is
designed for:
Organizations that collect, create and modify digital
documents of all types; that need to manage assets and send them through
approval cycles, and that need to track steps to identify production
bottlenecks.
|
For
example: A corporation collects assets uploaded from many users
across many locations for inclusion in a corporate-wide asset
management system. The corporate librarian decides how to prepare
each asset, adding keywords and other metadata, standardizing
formats, and deciding who should have permissions to view, copy or
even modify the original files. Assets appear in a folder
inside the Teambase database, and are moved into the archive once the
approval cycle is complete.
A small magazine group assembles and produces a group of
publications via the web. A contributor writes and uploads stories
into one folder, photos and graphics are uploaded into others. Editors have full access to stories and photos, while writers can
see the photographs that have been uploaded and verify caption
information, but cannot access the high-resolution images. Editors
check-out files, edit them in the application of their choosing, and
check the files back in. Stories are sent back to the authors’
folders or moved along to a folder where production users have full
access. Editors also notify colleagues at sister publications when a
story is timely or may have crossover appeal. Page designers, who
have access to page templates, assemble the stories and graphics in
their preferred page layout application and upload the assembled
documents back to copy editors. Page previews are generated with
each change, complete version histories are preserved, and deadlines
and status information are available to editors in real-time over
the web. At the end of a publication cycle, managers can easily
analyze deadline performance, page flow, and productivity.
An
agency produces display advertisements for its magazine clients. Run
dates, booking information and low-resolution PDF versions are made
available to those who log-in to
Teambase.Online, based on each
user’s log-in rights. Magazine clients can approve, annotate,
discuss and revise advertisements, based on the authority levels
granted to them. When ads are finally approved, production quality
PDF files are automatically generated and made available for
downloads. |
